I can’t run (yet) but I look forward to walking the Bribie Beach Bash – what a fun way to raise funds!!
Good for you! Look forward to seeing you there.
looks good. I am signing up my family for this (as well as myself)
Hi All, is the Marathon and out-and-back course or is it made up of a number of laps? Thanks, Cam
No the Marathon is an out and back course.
As with all the distances on the day, u only run or walk half what u nomimated for going out & return, making the full distance.
There is no circute, totally up & back on that glorous beach.
Hi Geoff,
i suppose it’s a beach run and barefoot run? Sounds like fun!
It is indeed a beach run; it is also great fun. But very few people run it barefoot. If you’re not used to it, that can lead to massive blistering, which soon gets rid of the ‘fun’ bit.
I run there often barefoot, and raced the event last year barefoot. But last week there was a lot of shell-grit on the beach, and I did get a huge blister on the ball of one foot, just running 10k. So the race will have me wearing shoes this year.
Will we see you there?
Thanks for that! I’ll put on shoes then! Will bring my family along; a 3 year old toddler and a 2 week old infant plus wife! : )
looks like fun ill give it a go.how much harder is it 2 run on the beach.i can normally run 6km in about 28mins
I was there Thurs this week & it was paradise. What a great place for an event like this. Bring your camera, a picture put in your collection. I recommend shoes when running the beach if not used to it.
Happy running & walking, will b a great day. I certainly will b there.
Cheers
THANK YOU Geoff,
A great run with awesome views, including a kangaroo.
I had a great time and really enjoyed the social gathering after the run.
See you next year.

Looks like a great weekend again geoff.Sorry I couldn’t be there but did have a big day out at the GOW.
I had a great day!! I walked almost halfway with shoes on then took them off & jogged/walked/jogged the rest. I was determined to finish and I did. I thought my time would be way more than the B2B because of the sand but I was only 7 minutes over. I’ll be at the next one for sure….see you there.
Thanks Sarah.
Keep an eye out on the website for 2010
Tell all your friends too.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words about the event.
It is nice to have a run/walk then socialise after.
I thought all the competitors were a great fun happy group, thanks for coming.
Spread the word, bring your friends c u next year.
Cheers
