Caboolture Dawn to Dusk 2009

The 15th Caboolture Historical Village Dusk to Dawn 6 hour & 12 hour Run Walk & Relay all take place on Saturday 7th February 2009.

6 HOUR & 12 HOUR RUN WALK & RELAY
Including- -50km and 100km State Championships
DATE – Saturday 7th February 2008

STARTS - 6 PM – Dusk to Midnight 6 Hr Solo/Relays, Dusk to Dawn 12 Hr Solo/ Relays.
6PM – 50k & 100k Qld Solo Championship & Relays.

12PM – Midnight to Dawn 6 Hour Solo & Relay Events

WHERE – Caboolture Historical Village, Beerburrum Road Caboolture

ENTRY FEES

Solo Events > 6hr/50k-$35.oo
Solo 12hr/100k-$45.oo

Relay Teams > 6hr $70.oo;  12hr $140.00;  50k $35.00;  100k $70.00

COURSE – 500 metre internationally certified decomposed granite road surface.

FACILITIES – Toilets adjacent to track. Sport drinks, water, fruit and lollies .
Free hamburger & coke to each entry.
T-Shirt or Singlet first 100 competitors. Canteen- food & breakfast for sale.
Chairs supplied for lap scorers (have a spare in the car in case needed)

PARKING - Gate 4 car park at Historical Village. Enter through gate 4.

LAP SCORERS – Competitors responsibility to supply or hire prior to event.

HIRING A LAP SCORER - $50 >6hr/ 50k events; $100 > 12hr/100k events. CASH per competitor. ** MUST be finalised by 5:30pm race day, otherwise definitely no start.**

RACE RULES

  1. You can run or walk in the run events but if you nominate a walk event you must walk the entire distance. Contrary to this will cause instant disqualification.
  2. No pacing is allowed. Support people can not run with any competitor.
  3. Support people are permitted to walk a max of 3 laps at any one time.
  4. The use of banned substances is prohibited within the arena of this event.
  5. Personal food, drink, and first aid materials are the competitor’s responsibility.
  6. All competitors, crew people, and supports must act at all times in a sportsmanship manner. Disruptive and or deceptive behaviour is not tolerated, you will be disqualified & asked to leave.
  7. Race direction changes every hour
  8. A team can be mixed. (m/f) Consisting of 6hrs -2 x3hrs, 3 x2hrs, 12hrs – 4to6 people running for as long or as often one chooses. 50k – 2 x25k; 100k – 5 x20k.
  9. Competitors may upgrade during the event i.e. 6 to 12 hr or 50 to 100k, for the extra price, but can not downgrade, for a placing.
  10. No competitor under the age of 18 years will be allowed to enter a solo event.
  11. All entrants (except overseas) must provide or arrange a person to lap score or prearranged hiring one. Definitely no start without, must be finalised by 5.30pm. Competitors’ responsibility.
  12. Any dispute with lapscoring with not be tolerated, (play safe, do it yourself)
  13. All lapscorers must be seated together in the designated area, no exceptions.
  14. The 6Hour Event from midnight to 6am may be solo or a relay team event.
  15. No refund for whatever reasons including circumstances uncontrolled by Race Director.
  16. The Race Director reserves the right to reject any application.
  17. The Race Directors decision is final. No correspondence or disputes will be considered.
